How to nominate a honor member within the Defenders Detachment

Honorary Members and Friends of the Defenders Detachment:

• Defenders Detachment Honorary Members (DDH) are special members who have contributed their time, skills and talents to the Star Wars Universe in some special way and have been recognized by the Defenders for their efforts and contributions while working on Star Wars, Star Wars materials, series within or around the Star Wars community.
  
  It also applies to special members for their past service in military, first responders services or special community services that directly helped their communities.

Friends of the Defenders (FD) are individuals or organizations who may not have specifically worked for Lucasfilm, but who have shown tremendous support of the Defenders Detachment and Star Wars fandom. These individuals can receive “Support Membership status”
(For example membership ID would be DDS-123456)


Honorary Members and Friends of the Defenders must be nominated by an active Defender member.

DDH and FD nominations must be submitted via the process laid out within this forums. All members submitting a nomination are required to notify the Commanding Officer (CO) and Executive Officer (XO) of the DD sponsoring the nomination as follows:

• Honorary Members and Friends of the Defenders are eligible to:
  
  Have their picture and/or profile displayed on defendersdetachment.com in the honorary membership section.

• Participate in official defenders events (i.e. charity benefits, celebrity appearances, guest escorts, etc).
  Have access to the Defenders message boards and applicable unit messages boards.
  Purchase official Defenders / member-only merchandise.

• Honorary Members and Friends of the Defenders are NOT eligible to:
  Vote in unit or Defenders polls and Hold any administrative position.

• In conclusion: Do you know somebody or someone in the Star Wars community who has what it takes to be a Defender? It could be an actor/stunt double/ artist or community leader who has gone above and beyond in their dedicated to the cause.
